Today was the last session of Artclub before the half term
and we wanted to complete as much of the paintings as possible. During the holidays a start has been made on
sewing the smaller paintings together.
There are 24 of them which when combined will make one large painting
inspired by the book “A Walk in the Rainforest” by Kristin Joy Pratt. We still
have 2 outstanding:- the “L” painting
and the “V” painting, so we will need to design those and also make our 3d
animals…so much to keep us busy. Our other large painting inspired by the book
“The Great Kapok Tree” by Lynne Cherry has had all the smaller paintings pinned
on to the background, ready to be glued down.
Robin Hood prides itself on being Art Mark Gold Award winners. Our OFSTED also awarded us with an Outstanding standard for our work not only in the Arts but across our curriculum. This blog showcases some of our amazing art and creativity projects taking place across school.

Thursday 5th January
Miss Morris and Mrs. Chin would like to welcome all our new
children who came to our Artclub after-school club today and started their
lovely drawings and paintings. For the
children who have been attending Artclub
since November it is our tenth week of creating our massive paintings for
Tropical World in Leeds. As you can see in the pictures they continued painting
and applying collage to their Rainforest inspired paintings, producing some
really lovely artwork. Next week we will be completing all our paintings, so
that they can be put together to make up the finished pieces. When we return after half-term we will be
looking forward to making some 3d models of the animals.

Over the last two weeks we have continued with our artwork for Tropical World. We have started to use collage to add interest and detail to the paintings.
