Thursday 21st June

We were based in the light, bright and airy Year 3/4 corridor tonight and we had a look at the three paintings we have been working on, commissioned by Beechwood Dental Care, Woodlesford side by side.

The Titus painting is nearly finished.  Next week we will be writing the captions and then the border and fixings can be sewn on.

The Tooth Fairy background has had all the smaller paintings placed on it and it's looking good!
Today we glued teeth on the bridge (because in the book the tooth elves are busy building the castle from all the lost teeth.)  We each painted a big tooth to place on each of the twelve pedestals that sit in the Hall of Perfect Teeth. (One to represent each of our twelve members of Reception Artclub.)

Most of our energy was directed at the final painting based on the book "Bear's Loose Tooth" by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman.  We took it in turns to paint the tree, bushes and sky.

Next week we will be gluing fabrics and tissue to the characters and finishing off the other two paintings.  Exciting stuff!
