Upper Key
Stage 2 concentrated on New York skylines and the art inspired by North
American artist Jackson Pollock. Landscapes were made from flicked and thrown
paint representing leaves on the trees in Central Park, fireworks and the
lights in the night sky of New York. Buildings were drawn using extreme
perspective. As they were displayed over
our heads it really made you feel as if you were standing at the foot of the
buildings, looking up. Other drawings showed the use of perspective in making
the buildings in the distance look smaller.
