Our new Artclub!

Hi and welcome to our new KS2 Artclub.  Today we split our group in two. Half of us paper machied the owls I have been making, whilst the other half made some pom-poms.

Fortunately the weather allowed us to get outside under the canopy which meant we could enjoy the messy activity even more.  The owls are made from wire and stuffed to give a surface on which to stick the paper.  It still proved tricky, especially around the wings!

The paper mache will provide a surface on which to stick the pom-poms.  All the children in school have had the opportunity to make a pom-pom and these will be stuck all over the two owls.

Meanwhile, inside, the other half of the artclub were making pom-poms.  When you see how big these owls are, you will see that we need a fair few pom-poms.  If anybody would like to help make some then please let me, Mrs. Chin know and I can provide you with some wool and some cardboard circles.

Halfway through our session we swapped to do the other activity.

Next week we will be starting our new project. We will be doing some lovely drawing to start it off.
