The Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) acted out
“We’re Going on a Bearhunt” by Michael Rosen in our outside areas. They drew
their own teddy bears and collaged big “scary bears.” The Reception class made collages of all the
settings the children travelled through in the book like snow, grass and mud,
whilst the Nursery children collaged big bears with leaves, conkers and pine
cones they had found as part of their home-learning.
When they visited the hall they drew around eachother
with oil pastels, crayons, pencils or felt pens, they then turned these shapes
into bears! Some drew around their hands
and feet and decorated them. These were
paw prints!
